About tatoos

Perhaps to give a more informed opinion I would like to speak with mainly adult people who aspire to be part of certain societies, jobs or things like that, it is not the case but in any case I will give my opinion based on what I intuit.

Personally, I can say that all my tattoos were not designed and maybe I regret all of them, sometimes because aesthetically they are ugly and cheap and that reinforces the social idea that tattooed people have to see the shady ones, although it is not a relationship that I do, especially in this era where tattoos are quite massive and are carried by all kinds of people, of all classes and trades.

I think that if it could be an impediment to achieve understanding and respect in certain societies, as a brown, tattooed and pierced, gay and poor person, I feel that there are obvious barriers in how one expresses oneself in relation to receiving parts of the society, so if people aspire to belong in certain societies, they must somehow maintain their appearance within conservative limits, personally it is not my case, and I think there is some courage to have an expression that is considered marginal.

Now maybe my radiography on society is a bit outdated, since it is common to see a tattooed doctor for example. Of course, in a society like that of Chile, conservatism emerges as the generation changes, and I sense a certain openness.

The fact is that the difference of class and race will always have to do with what is more permissible for one person and another, it is different to be a tattooed Catholic university doctor, to be a homeless person who cleans tattooed cars, although both in certain societies will be judged, one will obviously be lucky not to depend on that judgment.

I do not know if great opportunities are lost being a tattooed bourgeois, but I imagine that those same opportunities for a non-bourgeois and tattooed person can be an impediment, despite the fact that on an intellectual level they are capable and optimal to belong to the aspired society.
